BIM
I put design and construction information into a model, and review clashes and constructability across trades. I also put together drawings and information people can actually use on site.
HOWBIM
I've been doing this for 16 years.
I think about better ways to build, try them myself, and write it down.
From BIM and site data to fabrication and construction.
I connect digital tools to real jobs, and I keep what I learn here.

I also keep finding better ways to work, with new digital tools and automation.
I put design and construction information into a model, and review clashes and constructability across trades. I also put together drawings and information people can actually use on site.
I scan real spaces and structures into 3D data. I rebuild existing conditions as a model, then check the gaps between design and site, and how the build is going.
I work out models and details with DFMA — Design for Manufacture and Assembly — in mind. I follow the process from fabricating the pieces, through transport, to install on site.
I write about work, things I'm trying, career questions, books, and everyday life.
